Not My Tummy
Last week, on Friday, we attended an online session with a lady from Not My Tummy, a service that says ‘turns the traditional model of finding a surrogate on its head using the power of public relations, marketing, and digital media.’ This had been organised by the agency we’ve been with for almost three years and billed as a way to boost our chances of finding a surrogate, by the miracle of a social media. All we needed to do was share more online, which very much goes against who we are but heck we’ll try anything to have a family. Well, maybe not anything so I went away to think about it and find a way to share a little bit more to help in anyway to heighten our chances of finding someone, or as this service by-line says ‘join countless intended parents who’ve met their match using the Not My Tummy approach.’
First step, start another blog sharing our experiences of life at home, spending time with family, enjoying outdoor activities and hobbies, and documenting our surrogacy journey called Home Diaries. I’ve taken the lead on writing a weekly blog entry with as much or as little detail as we would like to share outside of what I already share on this blog, or even through Mastodon and Pixelfed, and see how it pans out. We hope it will work!
