Just in the door after a weekend in England and Wales. We were over for my husband’s cousin’s wedding at the family farm in Somerset and it was fantastic! It all took place, the ceremony and reception, at the bride’s mum’s house on the farm. The horse stables, standing for over sixty years and used by their late grandmother, were used for the reception and dancing into the evening. Usually, the couple put on charcuterie boards and pizza as food, which was really good. The cake, made by my husband’s sister, was sublime, and the DJ had us dancing into the night with frequent trips to the bar. All in all, it was great, and we got to catch up with loads of family, meet some new friends plus do some touristy bits around the area and in Wales on the trip back to the ferry home. Now time for bed.
